CAD Design, Battery Boxes and 3D Scanning

With everything now working in the car, it was time to think about how the final design would look. This is when things started to get difficult, like really difficult. It turns out that fitting the drive system from a 1.5 ton Leaf into an 800kg Figaro was not as easy as I thought. Because the Leaf battery is enormous, we had to get creative with where everything was going to live. To do this we needed to know what space was available. Thankfully, with advancements in phones and computers, technologies like 3D scanning are more available than ever

Once I figured out where everything was going to love, it was time to test with a bit of Cardboard Aided Design
